Private cloud computing provides infrastructure, application access, data access, and storage services without knowledge of the physical location and configuration of the system that delivers these services. A private cloud solution enables businesses to increase or ad capabilities on the fly without investing in new infrastructure, in order to focus on their core business. With the Microsoft private cloud solution with Hyper-V growing at three times the rate of VMware, Microsoft can increase adoption in the private cloud solutions that VMware cannot match.
Microsoft Private Cloud Solution
Microsoft’s solution for private cloud is built using Windows Server 2008 R2 with Hyper-V and System Center – the combination of which provides enterprise class virtualization; end-to-end service management and deep insight into applications that transform the way IT services are delivered to the end-customer. Microsoft private cloud solutions are delivered through our wide ecosystem of partners and are offered as custom, pre-configured, or hosted offerings – so, no matter the customer’s unique business need; there is a Microsoft private cloud solution for it.

VMware Private Cloud Solution
VMware Cloud Infrastructure Suite consists of vSphere, vCenter Site Recovery Manager, vCenter Operations, vShield Security and vCloud Director in order to have a comparable offering to Microsoft private cloud solution. In order to have capabilities like monitoring, configuration, automation, orchestration and security, a customer would need to have the entire VMware Cloud Infrastructure Suite.
